We developed this "Feeder" after a frightening incident with one of our horses. In the process of unloading, after a two hour trailer ride, my wife found her horse with one of his legs caught in the old style vinyl feeder that came with our slant load trailer. He had exhausted himself over the duration of the drive trying to free his leg and was drenched in sweat. He could not get his leg out. And, to make matters worse, my wife was unable to immediately help him. She ran to the barn and found some scissors to cut him out. We were lucky that he wasn't severely injured from a sudden stop or turn or from thrashing about. Right then, we knew we had to make a change, and thus the "Safer Hay Feeder" was born.
Our products are made in America. We use only the highest quality materials. The feeders are made of a tear resistant vinyl and the edges reinforced with one and one-half inch polypropylene webbing and the grommets are solid brass.
